Umbrella Materials & Components
Choose fabric, frame and handle directions for your custom umbrella. We will review availability and compatibility with your selected design.
How to choose umbrella materials and components
An umbrella specification combines the canopy material, frame, shaft, handle and accessories. Select these as a complete construction: a fabric name does not establish water performance, and a handle model does not establish shaft compatibility. Use the catalogue references to explain your preferences, then confirm dimensions, finishes and the assembled sample with Ark Umbrella.
| Part | Specify first | Check before sampling |
|---|---|---|
| Canopy fabrics and films | Composition, construction or thickness, color and finish | Artwork compatibility and any required test evidence |
| Frames and shafts | Opening mechanism, folding format, rib length and material by component | Hub connections, handle mounting and complete opening action |
| Handles | Model, body dimensions, base material and finish | Mounting hole, insertion depth and fixing method |
| Straps and accessories | Reference, dimensions, attachment and color | Fit on the selected umbrella and packed presentation |
Does a catalogue diameter show the mounting-hole size?
Only when it is explicitly labeled as the hole measurement. L, W and Ø labels describe the dimensions shown in that catalogue; an outer diameter does not establish the internal connection. Request the mounting drawing or a fit review for the selected frame and handle.
Use the component compatibility guide and fabric comparison guide, then send model references and your requirements.
