Carbon fiber, from handle to frame.
Develop a premium straight umbrella around carbon fiber components and a clean black canopy. The reference design brings together a carbon fiber handle, shaft and ribs, with an eight-rib canopy and a push-button opening mechanism. Explore the construction below, then specify the complete umbrella or the components required for your project.

For a carbon fiber umbrella frame, the details matter: rib dimensions, joint design, shaft fit and the opening mechanism all need to work together. A visible woven finish alone does not establish material composition. We confirm the selected construction and supporting documentation during sampling.
A closer look at the working parts.

The rib joint and canopy tip are small parts with a practical role in assembly. Specify the joint fit, tip finish, canopy attachment and appearance alongside the carbon components. Component compatibility is confirmed before production.
Reference design specifications.
The following values are transcribed from the supplied product specification image. They describe the illustrated reference umbrella and remain subject to confirmation against your selected sample.
| Item | Reference specification |
|---|---|
| Formaat | Straight umbrella; automatic opening |
| Canopy ribs | 8 |
| Canopy arc | 150 cm |
| Diameter van het geopende doek | 135 cm |
| Overall / closed length | 101 cm |
| Listed weight | 0.44 kg (440 g) |
| Rib material | Carbon fiber |
| Shaft and handle | Carbon fiber, as identified in the supplied construction images |
| Canopy fabric | 280T / 30D black-coated fabric |
| Canopy tips | Alloy |
| Reference color | Black |
Canopy arc and open diameter are different measurements: the arc follows the curved canopy surface, while the diameter measures straight across the open umbrella. The source images describe a black-coated canopy; a UPF value or UV-blocking percentage requires a separate fabric test for the selected material.
Material test data, in English.
The supplied three-page record is dated 25 April 2025 and contains 13 material specimens across three groups. The charts below reproduce the numerical tables. Group A, B and C refer to source pages 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
Test speed: 50.000 mm/min
Gauge length: 100.000 mm
Material entry: Carbon fiber
Test-standard field: blank in the source
These material-specimen records do not establish a finished-umbrella wind rating. No pass/fail limit or formal test-standard number is stated.

| Group / source page | Printed specimen description | Count | Mean maximum force | Min.-max. force |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A / page 1 | 2.8 | 8 | 12.021 kgf | 11.272-12.699 kgf |
| B / page 2 | Customer 2.8, unlabelled | 3 | 9.737 kgf | 8.886-10.383 kgf |
| C / page 3 | Customer 2.8, labelled | 2 | 9.329 kgf | 8.926-9.731 kgf |

Read the results as separate recorded sample groups. Sample counts differ, and the report does not fully identify specimen geometry or batch traceability. It therefore does not establish a controlled comparison between competing products. The original force-displacement curves have not been redrawn because their underlying data are unavailable.

Translation note: “Compression ratio” is the literal translation of the source column heading; the calculation method and fixture are not described. The printed “2.8” specimen designation has no stated unit. Handwritten values of 2.74 (page 1) and 2.72 (pages 2 and 3) are not treated as confirmed dimensions.

Carbon fiber umbrella questions.
Which parts use carbon fiber?
The supplied images identify carbon fiber in the handle, shaft and ribs. Support wires, springs, joints and tips are separate parts of the assembly. The final component materials are confirmed in the approved specification.
Is this a complete umbrella or a frame component?
The images show a complete reference umbrella so you can see the components together. Specify whether your inquiry is for the finished umbrella, the frame or selected components.
Does the report prove a wind-resistance rating?
No. The document records material-specimen force and deformation values. A finished-umbrella wind claim needs testing of the complete selected construction using an agreed method.
Does black coating confirm UPF 50+?
No. A coating description alone does not verify a UPF rating. Request a fabric test that matches the canopy material, color and coating selected for your order.
Can the logo, fabric and packaging be customized?
Share your artwork and requirements with Ark Umbrella. We will review the printing method, fabric, assembly and packaging options and confirm them with your quotation and sample.
