It lists several metal-tone and black appearances as examples. These are categories for discussion, not evidence that a particular catalogue item uses one process.

Specify each component separately: ribs, shaft, runner fittings and top hardware may use different materials or treatments. A request for a “black frame” can otherwise leave the shaft color, exposed fasteners or tips undecided. A finish sample is more precise than a color name alone.

Understand the main finish descriptions

명칭

What the buyer should clarify

Plated metal

Base metal, plating system, appearance and component coverage.

Black coated metal

The proposed coating process, sheen and surface preparation.

Anodized aluminum

Aluminum component, anodic finish, color and agreed appearance.

Metallic painted surface

Substrate, coating system and approved color sample.

Anodizing creates an oxide finish from the aluminum surface through an electrochemical process. It is different from applying paint or a plated metal layer. The Aluminum Anodizers Council’s process explanation describes this distinction. The actual umbrella specification still needs to identify the alloy component and the requested finish.

Check appearance on the assembled umbrella

Compare the visible parts under agreed lighting. Look for uneven color, unwanted gloss differences, scratches, exposed areas and marks around joints. Open and close the sample as intended and inspect surfaces that contact one another during movement.

A showroom sample and a close-up photograph answer different questions. Ask for a physical reference if a precise appearance matters to the brand. For a repeat order, keep the reference identifiable so that a new finish is compared with the correct approval rather than with an unrelated photograph.

Agree on durability requirements separately

A color or process name is not a corrosion-test result. If coating adhesion, abrasion or corrosion behavior matters, state the intended use and ask for a suitable test method, exposure, sample scope and acceptance criteria. Do not invent a universal number of test hours for all umbrella projects.

A result on one coated material sample does not automatically cover the finished frame, joints and mixed-material contacts. Similarly, a black coating does not establish waterproofness or saltwater suitability. Keep appearance approval and performance evidence as separate records.

Write a finish brief the factory can quote

Include the frame model, each visible component, base material if already selected, color reference and gloss preference. Identify any logo treatment on the handle or shaft. Add the required test or customer specification where one exists.

For price comparisons, keep that brief consistent. A different substrate, coating or inspection requirement changes what is being offered even if both quotations use the same headline color. Record any accepted substitute before production.

Ark Umbrella와 주문 준비하기

Ark Umbrella’s business has roots in umbrella production dating to 2010 in Dongshi, Jinjiang. When exploring our frame and component options, send the model and finish reference together. Use the inquiry page to describe the visible parts and any customer testing requirement, so appearance and evidence can be discussed against the same specification.

자주 묻는 질문

Does a silver frame mean it is aluminum?

No. Appearance alone cannot establish the substrate.
